
The Association of Tennis Professionals(ATP) has announced the nominees for the 2022 ATP Awards. The categories consist of comeback player of the year, most improved player of the year, newcomer of the year, Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award, and coach of the year. While the coach of the year will be chosen by coaches’ vote, the rest of them will be selected by players.
Most importantly, the rising stars Carlos Alcaraz, Holger Rune, and Jack Draper are nominated in two categories. The 22-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal is nominated once again for the Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award.
The 2022 ATP Award winners will be disclosed from 12th December, when Awards week commences. Notably, Fans cast also vote for their favorite singles player and doubles team on the ATP website through 2nd December.
